Purposeful Parenting with Liv

A different approach

Connection isn't about controlling your child's world — it's about joining them in it.

Make space for laughter, silliness and play. Get down on their level, follow their interests and let them lead the play sometimes. Connection means being interested in who your child is, not constantly directing what they do.

Build a relationship that makes your guidance easier for your child to accept and respect.

Connection

Children need confident leadership — someone who knows when to hold the boundary and when to let go.

Set clear boundaries, follow through calmly without threats or bribes, and have the confidence to hold your ground when it matters. You don't need to control every choice or win every battle; you need to know what matters to you, to lead with warmth, consistency and love

Boundaries

Emotional regulation is one of the most important skills we can teach our children — and one they'll carry throughout life.

Children don't just need behaviour corrected; they need to be taught what to do instead. Without replacement skills, the same behaviour will keep happening.

Our role is to help children recognise and manage emotions, communicate what they need and learn new ways to respond.

We're not just managing behaviour in the moment; we're teaching skills for the future.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • The discovery call is a chance to have a quick, informal chat about what you're looking for and the challenges you're experiencing. It gives us an opportunity to see whether my approach and support are the right fit for you before you decide whether to book a session.

  • Once you've booked and paid for your £95 session, you'll receive confirmation of your purchase. I'll then contact you by email to arrange a convenient date and time for your session. Once we've agreed a time, I'll send you everything you need to join our online session.

  • We'll spend time understanding what's happening for you and your child, looking at the behaviour or challenge you're experiencing and identifying what may be contributing to it. We'll then create clear, practical strategies tailored to your family, so you know what to do next.

  • Sessions are held online via video call, so you can join from home. Sessions are 60 minutes and are focused entirely on your family, your child and the challenges you're currently experiencing.

  • I work with parents of children from the early years through to primary school age, 0-7. My approach is adapted to your child's developmental stage, individual needs and the challenges you're experiencing.

  • We can work on a wide range of parenting challenges, including tantrums and big emotions, hitting and biting, boundaries and limit-setting, sleep, routines, independence and everyday battles. We'll focus on the specific challenges affecting your family rather than following a one-size-fits-all programme.

  • I recommend starting with four sessions, either weekly or fortnightly. This gives us time to understand what's happening, put strategies into practice, review what's working and make adjustments where needed. Some families may need more ongoing support, while others may feel ready to continue independently.

  • Yes. Your sessions include WhatsApp support between appointments, so you can share updates, ask questions and get guidance as you put your strategies into practice. This is designed to support the work we're doing together rather than provide unlimited or constant messaging.

  • No. In fact, strong boundaries and secure connection can work beautifully together. You can be a warm, responsive and deeply connected parent while still holding boundaries, saying no and allowing your child to experience frustration.

Your child doesn't need you to prevent every difficult feeling or make them happy all the time. They need to know that you are there, you love them, and you can calmly lead them through those moments.

Connection doesn't mean saying yes to everything. It means your child knows they're safe, loved and supported — even when the answer is no.

I’d love to hear from you.
