Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 25 August 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to the purchase and use of 1:1 parenting coaching services provided by Purposeful Parenting.
By purchasing a session, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. About the service
Purposeful Parenting provides 1:1 parenting education and coaching designed to help parents better understand children's behaviour, develop practical strategies and feel more confident in their parenting.
Sessions are educational and supportive in nature. They are not medical, psychological, psychiatric or therapeutic treatment and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical or mental health advice.
2. Sessions and payment
Individual parenting coaching sessions are:
60 minutes long
£95 per session
Delivered online unless otherwise agreed
Paid for in advance
Your session will be arranged with you after payment has been received.
I generally recommend beginning with four sessions, usually weekly or fortnightly depending on your circumstances. Sessions are paid for individually and there is no requirement to purchase a package upfront unless otherwise agreed.
3. Booking and availability
After purchasing a session, I will contact you using the details provided at checkout to arrange a suitable date and time.
Sessions are subject to availability.
Please provide accurate contact information so that I can contact you about your session.
4. Cancelling or rescheduling
I understand that circumstances can change.
If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please provide as much notice as possible and, wherever possible, at least 24 hours' notice.
Where sufficient notice is given, I will work with you to rearrange your session or provide a refund where appropriate.
If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice or do not attend your scheduled session, I reserve the right to treat the session as used and not provide a refund, except where there are exceptional circumstances or where applicable consumer law gives you a right to cancel or receive a refund.
If I need to cancel or reschedule your session, I will offer you an alternative appointment or a full refund for that session.
5. Your cancellation rights
When you purchase services online, you may have a statutory 14-day cancellation right under UK consumer law.
If you ask me to provide your coaching session before the end of this 14-day period, you expressly request that the service begins during that period.
If the service has been fully performed during the cancellation period, you may lose your statutory right to cancel once the service has been completed, where the law allows.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory consumer rights.
6. Refunds
Where you are entitled to a refund, this will normally be made using the original payment method.
Refunds will be handled in accordance with applicable UK consumer law and these Terms & Conditions.
7. Your responsibility
Parenting coaching is individualised guidance and education. I will provide recommendations and practical strategies based on the information you share with me and my professional experience.
You remain responsible for decisions you make regarding your child and how you implement any advice or strategies discussed during sessions.
I cannot guarantee a particular outcome, as every child and family is different.
8. Information about children
You may choose to share information about your child during a session.
Please only provide information that is relevant to the support you are seeking and avoid sharing unnecessary identifying information.
Where information raises a safeguarding concern or I have a legal obligation to act, I may need to share relevant information with an appropriate professional or authority.
Further information about how personal information is handled can be found in the Purposeful Parenting Privacy Policy.
9. Confidentiality
I will treat information shared during coaching sessions as confidential, except where:
You give permission for information to be shared.
Disclosure is required by law.
There is a safeguarding concern or serious risk of harm.
Disclosure is otherwise necessary to protect someone's safety or comply with a legal obligation.
10. Communication
I will normally communicate with you by email regarding your sessions, payments and practical arrangements.
Please ensure that the email address you provide is accurate and check your inbox regularly.
11. Website content
The information provided on the Purposeful Parenting website is intended for general educational purposes.
While I make reasonable efforts to ensure information is accurate and useful, parenting advice cannot account for every individual circumstance.
If you have concerns about your child's physical or mental health, development or safety, you should seek advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare or other professional.

13. Limitation of liability
I will provide my services with reasonable care and skill.
To the extent permitted by law, Purposeful Parenting will not be responsible for outcomes resulting from decisions made by you or the way you choose to implement information or strategies discussed during coaching.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
14. Changes to these Terms
I may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to my services or legal requirements.
The version in force at the time you purchase a service will apply to that purchase.
15. Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply.
